![]() ![]() It's been years since I used Syncthing and it worked well, but I stopped because there were some limitations: You won't get the benefit of any of MusicBee's syncing features, but you can be sure the libraries on your phone and computer are identical. If you want true two-way syncing (aka copying ALL changes from A to B and back), you may want to look into something like installing Syncthing on your computer and phone. I often want to update the genre or other tags while listening on my phone, so I instead just take a note and handle then when I'm back at my computer. The only thing I can't do that I wish I could was edit metadata from my phone. The app can also do two-way sync for changes to playlists between GMMP and MB, but I've only tried it a couple times and don't use it.It's written to the tag, so any app that displays these star ratings can display them (PA can only write these ratings, not read them). Rating changes in MB = Rating updated in Android.Rating changes in GMMP/PA = Rating updated in MB.Playcount increases in MB = Nothing happens on Android.Playcount increases in GoneMAD (GMMP)/Poweramp (PA) = Playcount in MB will increase by same amount, and time of last play will be set.Metadata changes on Android (except examples below) = Nothing happens in MB.Song metadata changes in MusicBee (MB) = Metadata on Android is updated.Using the app, you can do what developer Steven calls "reverse sync," as opposed to a regular sync: If I remember correctly, I think I once read it's meant for non-Apple USB devices that don't use the MTP standard (or something like that), but those are rare/don't really exist today. Correct, it's only one-way, but with some explanation: I've never known the wired 2-way sync option you're referring to to work. ![]()
